Hey Shorty, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

I know, this is long overdue.  It's been 10 days since I celebrated my 25th bday with my friends and dear brother.  Being above the poverty line, I took my friends out for dinner and drinks.  Of course I had to choose a place that is in my budget range.  My friends told me how stingy I am.  I am and I have to be as I won't be working in the next few months.  I have other plans for myself but I wouldn't disclose any of that now since it hasn't happen yet.  Let's just be excited for me for now.  :P

I tried booking for 9 people at Giligan's Island and I was refused.  They don't accept reservations as people don't usually show up on time.  I told my friends to meet us up in between 7:00 to 7:30PM but being a Filo that they are, they arrived at 8PM.  Imagine my horror waiting for an hour and a half.  For people who hasn't been to Giligan's, it is your usual inuman place.  Food and drinks are very affordable.  Food comes in packages and the place is mostly young crowd.  If you are looking for a quiet place, this isn't the place for you.

My lookalike.
Moi, Chekka, Kendi, Aize and Beth.  Sorry babe.  This is the best group photo that we have.
With our boys minus Beth.  My brother left early to play Plants Vs Zombies.  Just kidding!
The REUNION.  I missed Chekka.  I haven't seen her in a while.
Pork Chop
Bulalo
Barbeque.
Grilled Fish.
S4 Groupies meal plus Rice and Iced Tea cost PHP1034.  Cheap no?  :)

It was a very nice birthday.  I was surrounded by people that I love.  We ate good food and had lots of drinks.

That day, I also received
Bouquet from Mummy
and a book from dear brother from one of my favourite authors.

Treated myself with a shoes as well.  Believe me, they're back in fashion.  Same thing goes with clogs.  Chanel's bringing those back.

Fish & Co DISAPPOINTMENT

I used to be very close with my brother.  We were so much alike.  He is like the male version of me although he is much nicer than I am.  I have to admit, among us 3, my brod is the sweetest.  I know mum will agree.  Shae used to compare me and my sis to him whenever we have disagreements.  Anyway, since I am back to unemployment, won't tell here the reasons why cause I don't want any negativities on this blog, I want to make up the time with my brod.  He told me that he wants to go shopping so I asked if I can tag along.  He says he wants to buy some presents and since I've been eating nothing but junk, I asked him if he wanted to go to dinner with me afterwards.  I have to admit, I am a bit biased with my Peri Peri Chicken so I gave Peri Peri Grill another try but before that, more photos of my brod for my mummy.

PERI PERI CHICKEN GRILL - once more

My brod.  My friends told me how much I look like him.
With glasses on.  Crap.  Everyone in my family is wearing glasses now.  :(  When I met up with my brod, he wasn't wearing his specs so I asked him why.  He said he's hoping that his eyes will become better.  Dream on my brod!
So I gave the Peri Peri Grill another try and I'm once again disappointed.  It is still dry.
The only good thing about the restaurant is the Soup and Beverage all you want for PHP49.  :)

FISH & CO

I met up with my friend Sara(aka as Egg) last night for early dinner.  I wish I have an interesting story on how she was called Egg but when I asked her, she said her friend from high school started calling her Egg for no reason.  That's her one year old boy, Zeiss.  Yes, camera.  Her husband is very much into cameras.  Very cute and very well behaved kid.  BTW, she's prettier in person.
Another Peri Peri dinner.  I was terribly disappointed.  The chicken is very salty, they have the sayote as the side dish(YUCK) and the Peri Peri sauce is not enough for the half chicken that we ordered.  I'd rather go to Peri Peri Grill.  For PHP415 it is a waste of money.
They also serve us tartar sauce, garlic and chili.  We didn't even touch it.  The place was very noisy that night as if everyone was shouting with each other.  The staffs are very friendly though.  The ambiance is okay.  It lived up with the Fish theme.  Peri Peri is definitely not their speciality.  Better take that off from their menu.

Kangaroo Jack

Yesterday was my last day at work.  Most of my friends got nothing to do so we ended up eating out, again.  This is becoming a regular thing now.   Very bad for my diet(and for my budget).  I wanted to lose weight before my Palawan weekend.  I don't think it's possible now, might as well give up.  :-P

We were very undecided and hungry so we ended up in Kangaroo Jack.

Aize and I.
George and Kendi.  Kendi looking very tired.  Babe, you need to get rid of those ugly bags.
Kangaroo Jack's counter.
The interior.  Instead of the "outback jack" feel, we felt like we were transported to Africa.  The theme is not consistent with the name Kangaroo Jack, just my opinion.
George ordered Pork Chop(119PHP).  The serving is massive!
I had Hickory BBQ Steak(PHP169).  Again, massive portion.  The sauce killed me.  It was overly sweet.  I did ask the waiter for their best seller and he recommended this.  If this is this is best then I don't know how the other steaks taste like.
Nacho Jacko(120PHP).  The portion is massive but the dipping sauce is a blah!  It taste like Ligo Sardines and my friends agreed.  The nacho serving is not in proportion with the ground beef and cheese on it as well.  Was very disappointed.  I'd rather go to Taco Bell.
Both Kendi and Aize had Steak and Egg(155PHP).  Surprisingly, the service is small but the gravy is amazing.

At the end of the night, we were all dying out of fullness.  I don't think I'll go to this restaurant any time soon.  As we filo's put it, "naumay ako sa lasa".  We were all on the verge of puking that night.  We don't wanna smell any of the BBQ sauce.  It was too much for us.

My bday celebration on my next blog.  :)

Happy 7th Bday!

I won't go into details on how and who did this.  One thing's for sure, this tattoo, symbolised the start of the happiest and craziest part of my life.  I have no regrets that I have this.

Go Fan!

Last Friday, my friends and I went to a Chinese Buffet.  We didn't plan on this.  We were hungry and we found out that the salary just got into our bank accounts.  Being above the poverty line, we decided to treat ourselves.  It's been a while since we all went on a night out.  Frankly, I miss that.

Food Photo Vomit:

Warning:  This may not be the most enticing meals that you will see.  I don't have the DSLR with me during that time.

The buffet is very limited.  I think 10 dishes tops.  As I remembered, they had corn and egg soup, steamed and fried rice, siomai, sweet and sour fish, battered chicken, fried pork, noodles and chop seuy.  My favourite has to be the fried rice and fried pork with plum sauce.  The buffet costs 199PHP and 55PHP for unlimited iced tea.  Not bad eh?  :)

This is for the "normal" order form.
1. Choose Order.
2.  Give the Order slip to the staff.
3.  Wait for your order.
You pay at the exit.  I don't know if it's the most effective way but it works for them.

They only got one shared toilet, same with the Peri Peri Charcoal Grill Restaurant.  What's up with restaurants and single shared toilet???

Kendi eating on his seconds.
They aren't gay.  I just like to call them Mama Cy and Mother Georgie.
Kendi stuffing more food.  We had a drink little, eat lots rule that night.
George dying of fullness.  I didn't think that's possible.  He was forcing himself to finish his meal.  You'll find out why later.

Kendi stuffing himself with more food.  :P
This is the reason why Kendi and George are killing themselves to finish the food.  Most buffets in the Philippines don't allow left overs.  You pay for you left over.
The interior.  It wasn't full that night.  The place is new and clean.
The cooking area.

For people who have big appetite, Go Fan! is located in SM Annex, North EDSA.

GO GREEN!

I love changing the way I look.  I now have a permed hair and green eyes.  I wanted grey but dear boyfriend thinks green looks better.  Went to Ideal Vision Center in North Edsa and got six months worth of coloured lens.  I didn't realise that you can buy 2 different coloured lens for 6 months.  I now have 3 months supply of green and 3 months supply of grey plus 4 different coloured dailies in hazel, green, blue and grey for free plus 2 free solution, all for the cheap price of 1950PHP.

My sis, please send me your prescription through my facebook so I can buy your lens now.  :D

Trip to Nueva Ecija

As many of you know, I was raised in Nueva Ecija by my relatives.  I was born in Manila, lived in Ilocos for a bit where my parents used to work and moved to Nueva Ecija when I was 8 years old.  My childhood memories consists of me playing at my granny's backyard - climbing trees, picking indian mangoes during summer and playing hid and seek with my cousins.  I can honestly say that I have the best childhood and I wouldn't trade it for anything.  We were loved and spoilt by my relatives.  They didn't even ask us to do house chores.  :P

I took the bus from Cubao.  My brother suggested that I take the Nueva Ecija SCTEX as it is faster than NLEX.  I always look forward to 5 star stop over cause I really like double happiness' Goto.  We are only allowed 5 minutes stop over that day so I had avocado shake.  Looks like sh*t and taste like sh*t.  This shouldn't be allowed on any stores.
Got home and found out that my aunt who lives in Korea is on holiday with her mixed filo and korean babies.  She's so cute.  She kept on saying "oppa", meaning older brother and "unni", older sister.
The one on the left is my aunt's older daughter and the kid on the right is my cousin Jenny's son.
This is my granny from my dad's side of the family.  I am her favourite grandchildren.  You can ask her and she wouldn't deny it either.  She and her sister took care of my sibling growing up.  She is one of the best cooks I know.  I miss my grandma.  I wish to visit her more this year.
One of the most disorganised elections I've been in.  The PCOS machine on my precint over heated and I didn't actually see my vote went through.
Jejecap on the left.  Yikes!!!
Inked.  With my my brod.  :D  I used to think that he looks exactly like me, not anymore.
My good friends from school.  I've been friends with them since I was 8.  Whenever I go to Cabanatuan, I see to it that I meet up with my friends.  Bernadette looking the same over the years.  Think she have an Aga Muhlach syndrome.  :P  Benjamin lost weight.  I had a good talk with the both of them.  Let's see each other again next time.  Benja, good job on taking control of your situation.  :D  I love you both!
