SSI Job Interview

I went to my job interview yesterday.  In my opinion, it went well.  She knew that I love the Zara brand that she is gonna forward my CV there.  Hahaha!  She knew how I love to work in the retail, merchandising and fashion industry.  I was a bit personal with the interview.  This interview is surprisingly easy.  Let's all hope that I am what they are looking for.  Pray for me lovelies!  Thanks! :)

This is what I wore to the interview. Sorry for the poor lighting.  It was all done in a hurry.

Sorry, I didn't notice my skirt until now. It was properly aligned during the interview, I promise!  :)

Zara Skirt and Shoes

It's been ages since I wore that pumps and look what it did to my feet.  I was in so much pain that I took the cab on my way back home.

Office Inspiration: Zara

I love Zara's lookbook for Dec 09.  It is so me.  :)  I especially like the peg trousers.

All photos are from Zara.

Day 2: City Tour

Although I have so many entries this month, I am actually lazy in trying to put effort in what I wrote. This is another lazy entry from me.

While having breakfast in our Hotel(we stayed in Holiday Inn Express), we stumbled upon guests who gave us Tour Bus Tickets. We are a family who don't normally use tour bus on trips so this is definitely a first for us. He explained how it worked in slowwww English assuming that we don't speak the language. It annoyed the hell out of my mum and she started talking in English which in turn annoyed me and my dear sister. Hahaha! Don't worry, it didn't ruin our day. On the contrary, it gave us something to talk about. We left just before lunch to explore the city.

Jardin du Luxembourg

Stupid Photo in Jardin du Luxembourg

Formal Photo in Jardin du Luxembourg. On my opinion, it is best to visit the Jardin on Autumn. It simply is very romantic. I love the fact that the leaves just turn to brownish red kinda like taking photo in Sepia. I love how everyone seems so relaxed under the autumn sun. This memory is something I won't forget.

We went to Notre Dame but we didn't go in. Massive queue outside! I love the cafes near Notre Dame. It reminds me of the cafes in Barcelona outside the Sagrada Familia Church. I also took my Diana F+ for a spin that day. We were blessed with amazing weather despite the shower forecast. Thank you Papa Jesus!

Dress from Zara, Sandals from Topshop and LV bag

This was taken in Louvre. This is the best Museum that I've been in. I like how they arrange the paintings and loved the statues on the first floor. BTW, I've been to the Museums in London and the Vatican Museum which houses the most expensive sculptures, murals and paintings. I really love the feel to this place. I wonder why mum thought that we won't like the place. Hmmm...

I wouldn't grow up. Scratch that, I refuse to grow up! I like taking stupid photos still.

Feliciano Ladies with our babies. I really love my Diana. Guess no expensive handbags for me for now.

See how pretty the museum is. Notice how they arranged the paintings.

Art immitating life? Dear Sister is my real life punching bag growing up.

I'd rather be blurred. :P
I love the St. John the Baptist painting more. Very reminiscent of Mona Lisa.

Taken just outside the museum. We were lucky that we didn't have to queue very long to buy tickets. There aren't much people that day compared to Christmas 07. Guess that's what credit crunch will do to people. :P

Outside the Opera. I saw a girl getting pissed cause we took time taking photos. Well, this is a tourist spot and you can't get a solo picture unless you ask someone to close the place B*tch. She was throwing tantrums in Spanish. Although I can't understand the language, I can tell from her expression.

Sacré Coeur. Mum made sure that we went to this place. I saw this in Paris Je T'aime film. Warning: Do not use the side winding stairs as the smell will kill you. I have to hold my breathe while walking up. It is better to take the straight steps on the left. You can take the lift but your laziness will cost you!

Oh, we took the Red Tour bus at the end which took us to everywhere in Paris - Notre Dame, Place de la Concorde, Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées. It was Sunday then so most of the shops are closed. I get to see the LV store from a far. Scared that I might buy something if I go in. Since I was with grannies(aka Dear Mum and Dear Sister) we went home at 8PM. They were both tired. Case closed.

Girl Friend Weekend Day 1: Reflex Bar

I'm most nervous to take Doris to the 80s bar simply because among us 4, she got the highest expectations. Did you remember the Edinburgh 5 star hotel incident? Yeah the one with, the picture on the website doesn't match what I see in present scenario. When I picked her up from town centre, I had no choice but to put those expectations down to the floor. Told her that I haven't been to the bar and to expect nothing but 80s songs and people in costumes.

So 80s! :)

Disco Ball! Is there a bar with disco ball still?

I have no idea what this sign supposed to represent. Grease? HELP!

That was 2 pitcher worth of alcohol. We had 5 pitchers of cocktail split between the 4 of us. We are not alcoholic, we have high tolerance for alcoholic drinks! LOL!

Blue Lagoon is good!

She thinks blue lagoon plus long island is better.

This is what I wore that night. Sequined top from Primark, Black Leggings from H&M and My Zara Gladiator Heels. Forgive me for wearing the same shoes over and over. I shipped all my heels back home.

Random Fact from the night out:

1. As soon as we sat on our table, one guy approached us and asked us if we were really girls. I told them that we're not Thai and def not a lady boys.
2. Doris kissed a 19 year old Brit guy. I gave someone a peck on the lip so he can go away and stop bugging me. Darlene was speaking with a brit when she held his face and gave him a kiss. 3 different instances, same guy. LOL!
3. We went to the pole and dance. I am a full pledged pole and ledge dancer.
4. Someone gave Doris an unwelcome peck on the forehead. The guy looked like Matt Lucas from Little Britain.
5. I learnt to appreciate the don't stop me now song after 5 pitchers of cocktail.
6. We walked home bar feet as we were all in high heels pain and had hot and spicy chicken and chips before we all retreat to bed.
7. We changed our names that night. Doris was Bianca, Darlene was Daniella, Donna was Cassandra, Cassie for short(her words, not mine) and I was known as Alex.
8. My friends played(or should I say flirted) with the guys with ice. So much ice licking happened that night. Use your imagination. Couldn't take photos. My camera died on me.
9. I tipsy called(I didn't get drunk) 3 of my friends to get away from the guys who were bothering our group. Boys are like bad nightmare sometimes. They wouldn't go away!

It was a fantastic night. It was a success! :)

Cut, Shop, Coffee and Bonus!

CUT:
Necessity is the mother of all Inventions. I say, Recession is the mother of all Frugality. Today, I went to Tony&Guy for a model haircut. I only have to pay £15 for a fantastic haircut although the picture below doesn't justify it. My hairdresser, Raf, took almost an hour to do my hair. He is quite hot I must say but I am assuming that he is gay. Aside from the fact that he is chatty, he is a hairdresser and he uses the SUNBED to get a tan. Do you know any straight guys who use it? I DON'T! Did I mention that Raf's real name is Rafaelle? (Note LE!)

That's my finger covering the zit!
SHOP:

I am stressing about the modernised 80s party. So after my haircut, I met up with my Friend Darlene to do a bit of shopping. We went to the cheapest stores of course!

This is my take on the modernised 80s look.
Silver/Black dress from River Island
Black leggings from H&M
High Heels Shoes from Zara
I am planning to layer this with loads and loads of Silver Necklaces.
Excuse the stupid face people, I wasn't prepared when this photo was taken.

My Headdress for the London Tour on my Leaving Do Weekend with the girls. I figured that I won't be able to wear something like this when I go back home so I might as well wear something now.

COFFEE:

I am addicted to coffee at the moment. I drink at least once a day. After few hours of shopping, Me and Darlene headed to Costa for Free Coffee. Mind you, they don't give out free coffees, Darlene works there. Maria joined us after a few hours.

BONUS:

Another inflated ego moment, Please bear with me. On my way to Tony&Guy, I went to Davina's(Indian Cornershop) for a bottle of Iced Tea. I was texting with my friend the whole time but I noticed a guy was following me, almost mirroring my steps. So I stopped for a bit. He said, Excuse me, Here's my number and If you are interested to go out for drinks, let me know. I said, Okay Thanks! He said, what's your name. I said, Ailema. OMG! I didn't lie! I am not good with lying anyway. He looks harmless, professional and most importantly, I think he is still taller than me even if I wear 4 inch heels. 10 brownie points for courage and I might give him a shot. The thing is, I am over guys and their cheap pick up lines. These 2 scenarios keep on happening with me.

Scenario 1: (After Grocery Shopping)

Stranger: Hi Gorgeous!

Me: I normally get stunned, smile then walk away.

Stranger: Do you need help.

Me: No thanks!

Stranger: Can I get your number?

Me: NO! Then we both walk away. Normally the guy walks faster than I do. :P

Scenario 2: Walking

Stranger: Hi Gorgeous!

Me: Smile and walk away.

Stranger: Can I get your number? I find these people cocky and I won't waste my precious time with them.

This is why I find Mr. Courage's approach so refreshing and that is why I am thinking of giving him a shot. :)

Fruits Basket

I won't get beaten by my migraine! :P

Last Wednesday, me, my sister, Rose and her son Joshua went to Grays Farm. It was my sister's first time to strawberry pick and my first time on raspberry. We don't grow raspberry in the Philippines so I was clueless how to pick them. It was surprisingly easy, you will know it's ripe when you can easily pull it.

Me and the Strawberry's that me and my sister picked. We finished everything the next day. :)

That's me picking Raspberry.

My newly purchased Zara High Heels. Got both for 66% off! Patience is truly a virtue.
WARNING! The next statement is not for people who have cheese allergies: Yesterday, I went to Zara and felt sad. I realise that this is my last Zara sale. It would be expensive to buy Zara goodies back home and they don't do sale like here in the UK. Told you not for people with cheese allergies! :P
AND:
Saw the Proposal with my mum and my sister. It is a must see with girlfriends!

Mum's side of the room.

I am most happiest when I travel. So next bf should be able to take me on trips and should share the same passion that I have. :)

Brussels is surprisingly small. The trains run every 10-15 minutes and stations are almost always deserted. Makes me and my mum wonder what they do for a living. Brussels burst of Museums. 3 minutes from Gare Centrale and you'll see your first museum.

This weekend has been the most relaxing trip I've been. 1 day sight seeing and the rest are spend on food. We had kebab on the first night there, hamburger for breakfast, seafood overload for lunch followed by waffle with fruits, whip cream and chocolate drizzle and then ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle again and I lost track of what I had. PIG OUT I SAY! I need to start exercising tom.

Lick it Good!

FACT: I went drinking for 3 days. The photos above were from the second day. First day was Donna's bday, Second day was mine and Third day was broken hearted Donna day.

I wasn't scared about turning 24. In fact, I look forward to it cause I made it a point to celebrate this year. Mind you, it wasn't normal for me to have parties cause I hate being centre of everyone's attention so I broke my celebration into 3 just like my list said, Dinner and Clubbing, Trip Abroad(on my next blog) and Paintball.

I was happy on my 24th. Me, my friends and my family went on a dinner and we went clubbing. It fell on a Wednesday so entrance is free and drinks are cheaper than usual. We had one tequilla each and proceeded to 2 rounds of tequilla body shots. Rai then got us cocktail drinks, Me and Donna got Mai Tai on the first round, Darlene and Doris got Long Island. I tried Doris and I must add that I LOVE THE LONG ISLAND COCKTAIL. Taste like Iced Tea. :-P So on my next cocktail, I got Long Island then we had champagne and I forgot the rest. It was a fun and crazy night. :)
