I really love my country. It got so much to offer for holiday makers - good beaches, very good diving spots, cheap and delicious food, everything. We went to Panglao Island with high hopes but were terribly disappointed with the beach. I regret taking Mr. Banks there. I should have agreed to Boracay. Panglao Island and Boracay offers both clear water. The only problem is, their Panglao Island's Alona beach is infested with seaweeds. Shame cause they actually have powdery white sand. In my opinion, the government should invested more on maintaining the place if they want more tourists to come there. I didn't swim or sunbathe, not even once. For a beach lover like me, this is like hell.
We initially stayed at Isis Bungalows. The place is way smaller compared to the internet photo. It got good reviews according to dear boyfriend, him being a trip advisor geek. The fascade was good but the inside's rubbish. We didn't like it at all. They didn't have safe, they only provided 3 for 1 vaseline shampoo sachets and 2 bioderm soaps. Yuck! The telly's an old school 14 inches mounted to the wall. It kept on moving while we were watching! The bed's old. The only good thing about it is that, they have a good air conditioner but very thin blanket, as thin as bed covers. We woke up very very cold. When we left the next day, they still wanted us to pay for cancellation fee. We actually paid double on our first day stay. We couldn't stay longer so on our first day, we went around Alona beach to find a better place to stay in. We didn't find any difficulty finding a place. We moved to Lost Horizon the next day.
This is how much seaweed it got. Ewww!

yay santiago: hi! next time you visit try the other side of panglao - Bohol Beach Blub in particular. The beach line is very good and more quiet area. Alona is more like boracay with the night life.
next i would recommend is Amorita. Very good amenities and service. But no beach front they only have an infinite pool over-looking the beach... though you can go down and go down to the beach.. but i think its the same beach line as alona.
